PLANETARIUM INSTITUTE is an entrepreneurship think-tank which was incorporated on 18th June 2019 under Companies Act 2019 as a private limited company. It has shareholders and directors who provide oversight function of operations as the Institute implements its business strategy.
The Institute has one enduring purpose, “every person must have an enduring enterprise”, which acts as a moral compass for its operations. This is line with a realization that owning an enterprise affords humanity a life of choice and lives a life contribution in the society. Enduring enterprises are businesses that are built to last because they operate on set principles which respect natural laws governing longevity of business organizations: vision, core ideologies, strong teams, robust business models, responsive business systems and financial literacy acumen.
As a private sector player, a human-centred approach to operations is in line with its vision where human development is central to all decision-making processes. We believe in power of choice which comes as a product of access and proper use of information and knowledge, and this results to a decent standard of living and healthy life.
Planetarium Institute encourages entrepreneurs to build sustainable business models which are enduring and employees in workplaces to embrace entrepreneurial mindset in order to promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all [SDG 8].
A human-centred enterprise approach provides a sustainable way where families would: be economically well-off [SDG 1]; have adequate food [SDG 2]; have access to relevant education [SDG 4]; and resultantly have good health and well-being [SDG 3]. It stresses on the power of an enterprise and a leverage of education as pillars to achieve sustainable development goals [SDGs]. The pursuance of SDGs reflects the Institute’s core value of “concern for community responsibility”. As a private citizen and a member of the community where its partners come from, Planetarium Institute advocates for community wellbeing and invests in innovations which matter to its ecosystem.
